Monaco-Ville occupies the Rock, between the Prince's Palace, the cathedral and the Oceanographic Museum. Its historic street plan, protected façades and predominantly pedestrian lanes create a setting unlike the rest of the Principality.

Residential supply is limited and generally found in smaller, traditional buildings. Access, parking and renovation constraints deserve particular attention, while the district becomes notably quieter outside daytime visiting hours.
